I think the opening scene was the best moment of this week’s episode.

What was your favorite moment?

As we’re now only two days away from the season premiere of The Office, I thought I’d catch us all up on what happened in the season finale last season.

The episode was built around HR-guy Toby’s departure.  I’ll miss him.

Toby’s replacement, Holly, seems to have a thing for Michael, and Michael is fully smitten with Holly.

Meanwhile, Assistant to the Regional Manager, Dwight, tells Holly that Kevin, an accountant in the office is mentally slow.  She treats him ’special’ and Kevin mistakes it for attraction.  Should make for lots of laughs this season.

Michael’s crazy ex-girlfriend Jan returns, and she’s pregnant.  At first Michael is excited because he thinks it’s his.  It’s been his dream to have children.  Jan tells him that it isn’t his.  Michael is shocked, saying “You cheated on me when I specifically asked you not to?!?” Jan tells Michael that she was artificially inseminated.  Michael agrees to go with her to Lamaze class.  Looks like there may be a Michael-Jan-Holly love triangle in Season 5!

Jim and Pam’s relationship continues to go great, although Pam is planning on leaving for a few months to go to design school.  At Toby’s going away party (where there’s a ferris wheel, live music, and fireworks) Jim is about to propose to Pam when someone beats him to it.

That someone is Andy, who is dating Angela, who used to date Dwight.  Andy proposes to Angela (Dwight’s ex-girlfriend), and in her typically cold manner, responds with “Ok.”  We’ll have to wait for Jim’s proposal.

I can’t wait to see where they go from here!  I think Season 4 was probably the best so far, and they’ve laid the groundwork for a great Season 5!  I plan on doing my weekly recaps again, so check back in every Friday for the best moments of each episode.

The Office is coming back this Thursday! I can’t wait….
