I’ve stayed away, for the most part, from talking about politics and the election here. Why alienate people, right?
My candidate did not win last night, and that’s ok. The great thing about our country is that every four years the people of the United States get to choose a new leader to guide us. The people have spoken, and they want change, and I can respect that. I understand.
Barack Obama will be my President in a few short months, and I stand fully behind him. I hope others that did not support him during the election give him a chance and provide their full support. I hope he can do some good things for America, and I hope that we can put aside some of the nastiness we’ve seen during this election and all work together to make America a better place. I thought both Obama’s speech and John McCain’s concession speech were wonderful.
We are all on the same team, right? It’s time we start acting like it.
