My Honey’s Birthday Weekend

Published by Daddy Dan at 9:57 pm under Love, Family, Babito

Today was my wife’s birthday, but we celebrated all weekend. I am so fortunate to have found my soul mate, the one I know I’ll be spending the rest of my life with. She is both an outstanding wife and mother and I love her very much. She said something tonight that really touched me. She said that she had a great weekend and was happy she got to spend it with her two favorite men (me and Babito). Happy Birthday, Honey! I Love You!

A quick recap of the weekend:

Friday: My mother-in-law offered to babysit The Babito so my wife and I could go out to dinner to a nice little Italian restaurant, Pomodoro. We had a nice evening.

Saturday: We spent the afternoon and evening with my parents, who bought dinner for my wife’s birthday. My wife chose Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que. Great southern barbecue. If you go, try the tri-tip.

Sunday: We headed for South Coast Plaza to shop for a birthday gift. My wife ended up choosing a Tiffany necklace and matching bracelet. She loves her Tiffany, and I was happy to make her so happy. (Yes, we usually choose our own birthday gifts. Hey, at least we always get what we want!)

Monday: We both took the day off from work (and The Babito got to take the day off from the babysitter) and we spent the day at Disneyland. It was a great day to go. Perfect weather and small crowds. We walked right on most of the rides. To top it off, my Mom and Dad decided to come down and join us. What shocked me is my parents also bought annual passes. My Dad’s always disliked Disneyland, but he likes going with The Babito. They even plan on taking him by themselves. It was the first time my Dad had been there in about 8 years. It was fun, and a great way to end my wife’s birthday weekend.

I hope you all had a nice weekend as well.

Sounds like a great time! You guys are lucky to have Disneyland so close. The closest thing we have is Dollywood . . . yay.

It’s so nice to actually hear someone say nice things about their spouse. All too often, you hear a lot of negative comments.

Sounds like you had a nice time. Happy Birthday to your wife!

Mommyca: It was fun, and it went by so quickly. My wife says thanks.

Avill: We are lucky….The Babito loves to go to Disneyland. He’s been there enough times now that he knows he’s there when we pull into the big parking structure. It’s too cute.

Tara: My wife edits out all the negative comments. Just kidding!

    Aniche: She is a trooper!

Michelle: She does love Tiffany. Now I need to get her an anniversary present. Any ideas? Our 5th anniversary is on January 25th.

AB: They are tasty, aren’t they? It’s the only thing I’ve ever ordered there.

Debbie: Thanks! I’m jealous of the week-long trip you took to Disneyworld.

    Becky: Thanks, Becky!

That sounds like a perfect way to spend a birthday! I think birthdays are so important.

Myla: I agree with you. We always take each others’ birthdays off from work. We’ll also do it for the Babito’s birthdays. The birthday boy or girl gets to pick what they want to do that day.
