Here’s some of things I’ve found interesting over the past few days:
- The World of Color water show, currently being installed at Disney’s California Adventure looks like it’s going to be amazing. The 25-minute show will “bring Disney animation to life with powerful fountains that become stars of the show as they create the world’s largest projected water screen,” according to Disney’s D23 website. Here’s some of the interesting statistics from the show: it contains 1,200 powerful fountains capable of shooting water 200 feet into the air (as a point of reference, the giant ferris wheel at California Adventure is 150 feet tall), the show will use 30 high definition projectors, the show will include the world’s largest projected water screen at 380 feet wide and 50 feet high (bigger than a football field!). I can’t wait to see it.

- I can’t believe two things: that we’re already through July and that The Babito will be turning 3 in less than a month! Oh, how the time flies by. We’re having his birthday party at the end of next month at My Gym, where he goes to regular classes. It’ll be fun to watch him play with all of his friends there. The bad news is that now that he’s 3, we’ll have to buy him his own Disneyland annual pass.
- The Babito’s potty training is still going great. He’s been fully potty trained for over a month now and he can do almost everything himself. He doesn’t even want us in the room when he’s taking care of his business. He tells us to leave the room and shut the door all the way.
- We went to the Orange County Fair a few weeks ago, which was a lot of fun. If you’ve been before you know what it’s like. The fair hasn’t changed much over the years, but it’s still a lot of fun, especially experiencing it with The Babito. He got to ride the Giant Slide this year (he was an inch too small last year) and rode it twice – once with Mommy and once with Papa. Daddy skipped it because of my surgery. His favorite part of the fair was the animals, especially the pigs. I really hope the state doesn’t sell off the fairgrounds. It would be a major loss to the community.
- I’m still working on my Daily Challenges list and plan on sharing it with you all on Monday.
- One more thing that I can’t believe is that I’ll be celebrating my 40th birthday on September 7th. I’m getting to be an old man. We’ll be celebrating with family and friends at home (since I’m too old to go out) with a poker/pool party. Of course everyone will have to be out by 10:00 so I can get my sleep!
- Lastly, if you can, don’t forget to click on that link to the right and make a donation to Friends of Maddie. It’s a great cause that deserves your support.
