This is the best reaction to the election that I've read hands down; I hope others pick up on your enlightened view :-)

You spoke my thoughts pretty well 100%! While I also did not vote for Obama, I support him and am simply hoping for the best! That's one of the great things about this country; that we get to elect our officials every few years!

I only wish more people took that same stance.

Thank you for a positive look on this. You are right, America needs to act like a team. I was so upset the morning I found out and yesterday it smacked me in the face that I still have to support him even if I did not vote for him. I can offer prayers that he will do well with our country.

On a side note, not doing NaBloPoMo this year. I'm gonna be gone for a week of this month, totally away from any computer.

I couldn't agree with you more. The media has a big part to do with this. They endlessly campaigned for Obama and they got what they wanted. We need to respect the Presidency even if we don't like the elected President. Liberals did not do this with George W. Bush but I am sure they will expect everyone to do it with Obama.

Great Post!

What a great post! I, too, put a similar post on my blog last night (only my candidate did win), and at first I was hoping that my readers wouldn't take it the wrong way and judge me...and they really haven't. (I hadn't voiced my opinion one way or the other until the results were finalized, because I didn't want to step on toes...)

It's posts like yours that make me realize that I shouldn't have even worried about it.

We *are* in this together. Change was coming regardless of who was elected.

Now, the real work begins!

My biggest fear with the election of Obama is that those who supported him also seem to be the ones who put him on a very tall pedestal. If he doesn't become the "savior" that they all want him to be, it could be a politically fatal fall from that high up. Let's hope that this isn't the case.

I hope congress realizes that we are all on the same side. A friend of mine who has the opposite views politically as I said it best today. Becareful of other's agendas. Pelosi, and the rest of congress have different agendas than the newly elected president. He might have a diffiicult time of it...
