Last year, a mere month into this blog and with very few readers (think 5-10 readers in an entire day, and I was excited about it!), I somehow came upon NaBloPoMo, which is an event that challenges you to post every day in the month of November. I signed up and ended up meeting a lot of great people, and it also helped me to start to build up my meager readership. The website allows you to chat with other members, make friends, share photos and videos, join various groups with people that share your interests, and also create discussions.
It really is a great place to meet new people and find some great blogs to add to your Google Reader. I found several of my favorite blogs, including Momisodes, Say It Don’t Spray It, Caffeinate Me, Rockstar Mommy (sadly retired), and Cynical Dad while taking part in it last year. I hope to find more great bloggers this year.

Rockstar Mommy quit blogging? Dang! She was one of the first blogs I read every day… long before I considered writing my own blog.
I have thought about joining NaBloPoMo. I write almost every every day… or I used to. I’m not brave enough to make the commitment though.
