Do you use Google Reader to keep up with your favorite blogs?  If so, you may have noticed a new feature that will help you share your favorite posts with those who track your blog.

It’s called Shared Items.  You can see it in the following screeenshot on the left menu.  Also, just below the Shared Items is Friends Shared Items, which keeps track of all the posts your friends have marked as “shareable.”

So, how do you go about sharing posts?  It’s simple.  On the bottom of each post in your Google Reader is a ‘Share’ icon that you click.  The post will automatically be included in your shared items.

Another cool feature, just to the right of the ‘Share’ icon is the ‘Share with note’ icon.  This allows you to add a note to an item you choose to share.  Below is an example of a note I added (in blue) to one of Vegas Dad’s posts.

If you use Google Reader, please start sharing your favorite posts with those who follow your blog.  It’s a great way to give your favorite bloggers a little more publicity.
