We were busy this past weekend. Saturday was Babito’s birthday party, Sunday was my birthday, and Monday we took the day off to go to Disneyland.
Babito’s birthday was at a place called My Gym, which describes itself as “the worldwide leader in children’s fitness.” We had 19 kids, ranging in age from 1 year to 12 years old. The three instructors led the kids in a variety of activities and games and the kids had a great time. The adults at the party were able to mingle about and enjoy some time with other parents as their kids ran wild for two hours. I was expecting calls from parents later to thank us for wearing their kids out, but I didn’t get any.
Babito had fun, although he was a little reluctant to do some of the activities at first without Mommy or Daddy participating. The party ran from 5-7pm, and then some of the family came to our house afterwards to watch him open his presents.

On Sunday, we stayed home and relaxed/recuperated all day from the big night. We didn’t get all of the family cleared out of the house on Saturday until after 11:00pm.
On Monday we took a trip to Disneyland. The summer season is over, so I highly recommend going to Disneyland, at least during the week, right now, as the crowds were small. We walked onto almost every ride, including Dumbo and the Casey Jr. Train, which usually have long lines. The weather was perfect (low 80’s, low humidity, and a slight breeze).
Another attraction, which usually has an hour wait, is the Princess Fantasy Faire, where you can meet several of the Disney princesses. Yesterday the line was about 10 minutes, so we decided to do it for the first time. Babito met Belle, Snow White, Ariel, and Jasmine.

Wow, how fun! We have a MyGym here and Z-Dub’s been to a party there. It’s a blast for the little ones. Disney too. You’re an awesome dad. Happy Birthday to you as well.
