Jenna, from Learning As I Go, is a true Mommy blogger.  Most of her posts deal with her two adorable daughters, Beatrice and Olivia.  It’s worth checking out her site for the cute pictures alone.
But you should also go to Learning As I Go because Jenna is a very honest, open, and talented writer.  She shares all the ups and downs of parenthood, and you’ll definitely learn some things from her.  Also, she’s in the midst of going through the Terrible Two stage with her youngest daughter, Olivia, and since The Babito is just entering that stage I like to check in and see what we have in store for us in the coming year.  Also, did I mention she has two really cute little girls?
Here’s my interview with Jenna from Learning As I Go:

Daddy Dan (DD):  Tell me a little about yourself.

Jenna: I’m Jenna. I married my college sweetheart, Josh, back in May 2001. We have two daughters – Beatrice 3, and Olivia, 2 – who are thirteen months apart. I work outside the home, too. My life is full with raising two daughters and working full time. I think I might be the master of juggling. It’s possible that I am also the master of having no patience.

DD:  How long have you been blogging?

Jenna: I started a blog back in 2004 when I was pregnant with Bea. It was pretty much used to log my pregnancy and talked about my grape and orange soda cravings. After I had her, I stopped blogging for awhile and then once I got my grounding after back-to-back pregnancies and adjusting to two children, I picked it back up in 2006.

DD:  What got you started?

Jenna: It started as a way for friends and family to stay updated on what we were doing and focused mainly on the girls. And, though I hate to talk about it, if I were to leave this world unexpectedly, I wanted the girls to have something that was documented…something from me and words that came from me so that they knew how I felt about them and what I am like as an individual and how I was as their mom.

DD:  Why do you continue blogging?  What do you get out of it?  How long do you think you’ll continue?

Jenna: I love to write and I love the people in my life. I can’t imagine combining something I love more to create something that will last longer than a distant memory you can’t remember because it isn’t written down.

DD:  Tell me a little about your blog.

Jenna: It’s a hodge podge. It’s not just all about the girls as it once was when I started it. It’s about me and what I’m doing in my life also – my biggest accomplishments and fears. Home improvements. It’s kind of random and all over the place.

DD:  Why should people read your blog?

Jenna: I’m horrible at self-promotion. Read it if you want. If you like it, keep reading.

DD:  What types of blogs do you enjoy reading?  Can you provide a list of your five favorite blogs?  Why do you like these five?

Jenna: I like all types of blogs. I can’t pick five, Dan. I know I would hurt someone’s feelings, and I would feel terrible about it.

DD:  What is the secret to happiness?

Jenna: I don’t know the answer to that, but I can tell you that the secret to MY happiness is my family, close friends, and a career that is moving in the right direction.

DD:  What is your favorite quote?

Jenna: “Always look on the brighter side of life.” – Monty Python. Not a Monty Python fan here, but heard this quote in a movie called Sliding Doors. It stuck.

DD:  What, so far, has been the happiness moment of your life?

Jenna: I have four, so can I mention all of them?

DD:  Sure.

Jenna: The day I graduated college, my wedding day, both birth days of my girls.

DD:  What has been your biggest regret?

Jenna: I don’t believe in regrets as long as it was a learning experience. Let’s just say I have had quite a few learning experiences in my lifetime and I’ll leave it at that.

DD:  Where do you see yourself in ten years?

Jenna: Retired? C’mon LOTTO! If that doesn’t happen, I hope to be able to move up the housing chain to a house that is bigger than a bread box, there could possibly be one more child (NO I AM NOT PREGNANT) and hopefully running my own business.

DD:  Do you monitor your blog stats?

Jenna: I like to look at them, but monitor them? No. If people like to read it, that’s fine. I love to write, if only for me.

DD:  What are your favorite places in the world?

Jenna: Maui, who I will be seeing again in 2009. Our home, with all of us in it.

DD:  Tell us something most people don’t know about you.

Jenna: Since having kids, I don’t sleep as much. And I’m fine with that. But I wasn’t in the beginning.
