It’s very hard to put into words exactly what Jennster’s blog is like.

There, that’s what Jennster’s blog is like.  It’s like having a conversation with a really good friend, a crazy, funny-as-hell friend.  The kind of great friend that you’re lucky to have met and want to hang onto for life.  A kind of friend who will definitely tell it like it is and is always making the best, and most fun, of every situation.

In the interview below she says that her blog is “silly, funny, crazy, outgoing, and kind of in your face.”  She nailed it.

Here’s my interview with Jennster: 

PARENTAL ADVISORY/PRUDE ALERT: Jennster is a bit of a potty-mouth, so if that kind of thing offends you, please ignore the F-words. Thanks.

DD: Tell me a little about yourself.

J: what if i don’t want too? i guess that defeats the whole purpose of this interview then doesn’t it? also, there’s nothing really “little” about me. not my personality, my awesome-ness, or my ass. ha.

DD: How long have you been blogging?

J: i started in january of 06.. so almost 3 years! i like to say it like that instead of 2 and a half years… i sound more awesome.

DD: What got you started?

J: my grandpa! he had a stroke and would read blogs online all day everyday. random blogs! so i thought, “well hell, i’ll start one for him that he can read.” it quickly blossomed into more than something just for grandpa, but he still reads it. everyday!

DD: Why do you continue blogging? What do you get out of it? How long do you think you’ll continue?

J: i blog because i truly enjoy the community of it. i love writing and knowing (or at least hoping) that someone is reading it and is either entertained, or is relating to it, you know? i think that as long as i enjoy writing in my blog and as long as it is fun for me, i’ll keep doing it.

DD: Tell me a little about your blog.

J: my blog takes after me. it’s silly, funny, crazy, outgoing, and kind of in your face. it encompases lots of small pieces of who i am in all sorts of ways. it pretty much rocks.

DD: Why should people read your blog?

J: you sure do ask a lot of questions. lol i think that people should read it if it’s something that they get joy from reading. i think there are so many blogs out there that are written by really awesome people, but that doesn’t mean you have to enjoy reading their blog. basically i’m saying that just because i’m awesome, that doesn’t mean that everyone will like my blog. they may not. and that’s cool.

DD: What types of blogs do you enjoy reading? Can you provide a list of your five favorite blogs? Why do you like these five?

J: i like blogs that are just real to me. everyday life.. struggles.. humor. not pushing a political or environmental agenda because i’m totally not into that, so i don’t get too much enjoyment out of reading those who are. i just like “normalcy” and “realness” if there is such a thing. and i couldn’t possibly pick just 5. couldn’t.possible. if you click on my bloglines, you can see everyone i read. there’s a hell of a lot more than 5. lol

DD: What are your favorite “non-blogging” activities?

J: watching my son play baseball is probably the highlight of my life. i get so much fucking joy watching that kid play ball it should be illegal. i also like to eat candy and watch my ass grow. and then complain about how big it is and wonder whyyyyyy it won’t get smaller.

DD: What is the secret to happiness?

J: being happy with who you are. accepting yourself, flaws and all- and being okay with them.

DD: What is your favorite quote?

J: my fave quote of the moment mind you, because i am always falling in and out of love with quotes is the following:”live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, satan shudders and says ‘oh shit, she’s awake!’”

DD: What, so far, has been the happiness moment of your life?

J: people always have these moments, and they’re pretty typical right? birth of a kid. marriage. something big like that. hell, i don’t know- i think everyday i’m alive with my kick ass son and my hot piece of ass husband is pretty fucking spectacular, you know?

DD: What has been your biggest regret?

J: i don’t live that way. i can’t. focusing on what could have beens, what should have beens, etc just doesn’t work for me. and it’s kind of pointless to have regrets- to me, it means you’re not truly living… at least not in the present.

DD: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

J: hopefully back in so cal.. working in the entertainment industry still, really successfully (like superstar status).. and still happily and lovingly married, etc.

DD: Do you monitor your blog stats?

J: eh, only sometimes. most of the time i forget.

DD: What are your favorite places in the world?

J: the beach. but not cold, foggy beaches. fuck those. warm, sunny beaches with lots of surfers. malibu, my hometown, hawaii, and i’m going to say italy even though i’ve never been there, i’m certain i’d absolutely love the hell out of it if i went.

DD: What are five things you want to do before you die?

J: i have never really thought about this. seriously. i should like make a list or something.. what’s it called? a bucket list? lol.. anyway, go to italy. take blake to hawaii. watch my son play in a major league baseball game (no pressure blake), retire comfortably, own lots of properties!

DD: Tell us something most people don’t know about you.

J: i fart when i sleep. just kidding. i mean, how would i even know that if i’m sleeping?
