- We decided to go with the first babysitter we interviewed. My wife and I are both very comfortable with her, and Babito seems to really like her (and her toy-filled house) too. It’s nice to have that burden off of us.
- My wife is heading for a girl’s weekend out tomorrow morning. She’s going to Palm Springs with her two best friends. The Babito and I plan on partying hard all weekend. It should be wild. Our first stop tomorrow: Disneyland, of course.
- My wife’s nephew, Jonathan, is heading back to Iraq on Monday. Please say a prayer that he’ll remain safe while he’s gone. We got to speak with him tonight, got his mailing address, and plan on keeping him stocked up with care packages.
- Have a great weekend everybody.

Good for your wife for taking a girls’ weekend! Every mom needs one of those now and then.
Your nephew will be in my prayers.
Thanks for stopping by yesterday. Your words helped a lot on a difficult day.

Have fun at Disneyland.
And, my thoughts are with your nephew. My brother-in-law is off to Afghanistan for the second time. He’s been to Iraq twice already too. It sucks!

Your letting your wife go off to Palm Springs? You know what they say “What happens in Palm…” never mind wrong town. Let her go have fun..
Bring lots of patience for the long lines this time of year at D’land. It’s hard with teenagers, I can’t imagine with a little one.
Always prayers for those going overseas. Let’s hope this mess is sorted out soon.

Hope you had a great weekend and sorry I am so late in responding! Next stop: You and your wife going away together!

Terri: Thanks, yes, she really needed a little break. Babito and I had lots of fun, but I was happy to see my wife return and give me a little break too.
Katie: Thanks!
VegasDad: It does suck, but at least things seem to be improving in Iraq. I can’t believe that Afghanistan is actually more dangerous now. He’ll have 10 months left to serve by the time he returns, so hopefully this will be his last deployment.
Mike: Thanks for the prayers. Disneyland wasn’t too crowded, and Babito is very easy to handle, though I wish my wife was along for the diaper changes.
Romi: I’m still hung over today from our wild weekend. Stay tuned for the details…
Jenna: Yes! We’re overdue for a weekend away together. Hopefully we’ll do something later this summer.
