As you’ve probably all heard, we had a major earthquake here in Southern California around 11:45 today.  I was on my way to lunch with co-workers and we didn’t even feel it.  My friend’s husband called her and told we’d had an earthquake and it was centered in Chino Hills, which is very close to where my wife works and where Babito goes to daycare.

As you can imagine, cell phone service was non-existant and I couldn’t get through to my wife or the daycare.  I tried constantly for nearly an hour until I finally got a voicemail from my wife saying that she was ok and she had just picked up Babito.  Thank God they were both ok.

The worst part was not knowing.  Also, when we arrived back at work (we skipped lunch of course) our building was evacuated and I couldn’t get in to get my car keys until now.

I can’t wait to get home and hug them both.  I hope everyone else is ok.
