I’m leaving in a few hours to beautiful Catalina Island for my little business trip.
I had never been to Catalina before I had to start going there for work. Now, in the past four years, I’ve been there about 10-15 times. The first time I went I really had no idea what to expect, but I thought it was some kind of vacation paradise, with sandy beaches and lots of fun things to do. It’s really anything but a paradise, despite the Catalina marketing department doing their best to say otherwise. To say the least, I was a little disappointed.
If you’ve ever been curious about Catalina Island, stay tuned. I plan on taking a lot of pictures in the next two days, and I’ll share them when I return.

Catalina Island is definitely picturesque, but probably one of the most unexciting places I’ve ever been, and I’ve been there plenty. I think it’s just too small, with limited things to do.

I’ve been there twice and my favorite part is driving the golf cart.
Weird, I know…

Jason: You’re right, there’s not a lot to do there.
Creative: The golf carts are fun…that’s also my favorite part of golfing.
Ashley: It is small and cute, and maybe it wouldn’t be such a bad place when you’re old, but there’s really not much to do there. A person probably WOULD start yelling at the tourists just for something to do.
