Babito used his first real sentence today by asking a question.
He asked “Where’s the doggy?” when Audrey ran out of the room while he was trying to hug her good night. That’s part of his new ritual before he goes to bed. My wife tells him to tell the doggies good night and he runs after them and tries to hug them. They don’t really go for it and they try to avoid him as best they can.
As for his sleeping in his crib, he’s doing great! If I’d of known how easy it was going to be we would’ve done it months ago. He’s been sleeping alone now for a week, and he hasn’t cried once since the first two nights. What’s funny is even when he wakes up in the morning he doesn’t cry for us, he just sits in there and plays with his stuffed animals.
At first our ritual was to take him into his room and read a book to him. He doesn’t even want to do that now, he just points to his crib. He actually WANTS us to put him in there. Tonight he even waved to my wife, basically hinting at her to leave. We’re loving it!

Wow, I was jealous of your weather – but it’s nothing compared to your Babito’s new sleeping habits! I can only hope as she gets older . . . *sigh*
Good for you guys, though – glad you’re all getting more sleep!

Avill: You may be surprised. Your daughter may adjust faster than you think. We dreaded getting him back into his crib for nothing. Hang in there!
