Dear Holly, In no case is that the only option. If somebody is Raped or the Child is deformed, It is still a gift from God. A child is a child no matter what it looks like. And if you are Raped and could not stand the thought of having a child who’s father was a rapist then there is always Adoption. I’m pro-choice.
If you were a young teenage girl who had big dreams, and you ran over one little mistake in your life. I would think that an abortion is alright. Yes, It’s like murder but not exactly.
I’m pro-choice. I know for a fact that if I were to get pregnant right now, I would probably put it up for adoption but what if someone got raped?! I would hate to tell my child that I got raped and got pregnant with them. You may argue with me all you want. But that’s my prespective.

I have wondered weather it would be ok for abortion to be legal in the case of rape. I worked for a women who was raped when she was in her twentys. She decided to keep the baby and he grew into a good man. He wrote her the most beautiful peom, that she framed on her wall, thanking her for keeping him and loving him. That’s just one story I’m sure it doen’t always turn out so good, but who are we to decide.

Would we sit back in silence as our government funded the deaths of over SEVEN MILLION people? Wait, it’s a choice. Even if the number of abortions dropped to one per year, it would still be one too many. And as far as the rationalization of aborting a rape baby. It’s wrong! sure rape is a horrible thing, but to compound one tragedy with another tragedy of murder is sad. I find it sad to think that people can be so cold as to rip a living human being, a little baby, apart and kill it out of a matter of convenience or so called, “choice.” Abortion is just another facet of Darwinism carried out to it’s natural conclusion. i don’t see what has everyone so concerned about the whole murder issue. fact is, animals kill each other; some deserve to die, and some don’t, so is life. for every aborted child, there is not necessarily a beautiful life waiting on the other side of that choice. how many aborted children do you think would have turned out to be serial killers? or rapists? the decision to kill is a natural one, and out of all this i most feel empathy for the women who have to make this decision, and honestly, if our society didn’t make it so difficult to be a young mother, i don’t think we would even bother having this problem. now stop wasting your time on abortion discussion forums and go read kaczynski.

well i personaly wouldnt want my partner to get an abortion, but no one seems to see the other side…what if a girl was raped?? what if the condom and birth control didnt work?? she missed a couple days and the condom ripped. what if every girl or women were to have the child that they didnt want and give it up for adoption?? then the number of orphans would increase drasticly and when those ‘cute’ lil babies become older its harder to find a good home for them. i think abortion is a way of keeping us from becoming over populated but many will disagree and that is the beautiful thing of america =)

Wow… I can’t believe some of the reasons given to make killing ANY human being sound alright! The only reason there should ever be to end a pregnancy, is due to a medically necessary reason, if the mother’s life is at stake. From the second a baby is created, it’s a life, killing it should put people behind bars, just as killing any child or adult would put someone in jail. As far as rape, it’s a horrible thing, but only about ONE HALF percent of woment having an abortion have one due to rape, and there’s no reason some other family can’t love that baby if the mother who was raped cannot. I have family who CANNOT have a baby, they would give anything to have a child, and have gone through hell and back to adopt. Most women list reasons for having an abortion due to already having raised children, their partner didn’t want them to have a baby, a baby would interfere with future plans, etc. NONE of those reasons couldn’t be solved through adoption! As for those of you comparing a human life to animals killing one another, “concerned citizen” I notice you TOO were spending your time on this abortion forum! Clearly you have no idea right from wrong, let me fill you in, killing a baby is MURDER!

SADLY, THERE ARE 42,000,000 ABORTIONS PER DAY !!! Do the math – It’s horrific! What if one of those dear children grew up and instead of becoming a serial rapist they discovered the cure for the cancer you are dying from. Suppose one little girl grew up to become the scientist who discovers the cure for AIDS. Maybe even the next leader of the free world.
