It’s very hard to Christmas shop for a toddler, especially when that toddler’s Mommy and Daddy buy him toys nearly every time they go shopping at Target! Despite that fact, I’ve been looking around Amazon.com trying to find things to get him this Christmas. There’s a lot of cool stuff. Here’s what I’ve found so far.
1. Fisher-Price GeoTrax Rail and Road System Grand Central Station

This train set looks extremely cool. You can buy different sets that add on to this one. You control the train with a remote control. These are the types of toys that are kind of fun for parents (at least Daddys) too!
2. Fisher Price Baby Gymtastics Bounce and Spin Zebra

The Babito’s baby sitter already has this toy and he loves to play with it. It’s similar to a rocking horse but it also turns around as well as rocks back and forth. The baby sitter says it keeps him occupied for long periods of time, and any toy that can do that is welcome in our house!
3. Hasbro Playskool Busy Ball Popper

The Babito loves playing with balls. This one shoots balls up into the air. They land in the funnel and go around again. This toy received extremely high ratings on Amazon. I think about 200 people took the time to rank it and all but about 5 of them gave it 5 stars.
4. Playskool Wheel Pals Triple Track Tower

The Babito also loves cars. For this toy you line up the three cars on the top of the ramp and hit the button to open the starting gate and the three cars race down the ramps. I pride myself on picking toys that the Babito will love and I have a feeling this will be one of them.

Last, but not least, is this ride-on electric train. Babito’s Grandma and Grandpa already bought him this for Christmas. This will no doubt be his favorite gift. The train travels on a 6′ by 8′ oval track (we’ll have to find a place to put it!) at a brisk 1.5 mph.
If you know of any other toys that a 15-month old, adventurous toddler would love, please let me know in the comments!

My daughter LOVES #2 and #3. We don’t have either, but she goes nuts for them at other peoples house
….the best place to have noisy toys like this! My daughter also loves to play inside any tents. We have a foldable tent we pull out for her in the living room

Oh. My. God. Babito is so lucky to have that train! Me and my brother always longed to have it ever since we saw Ricky Shroder ride on one in Silver Spoons.

Missy likes 2 and 3, we don’t have them, but our friends do, and she goes crazy with them:o)
Also, does Babito have a ball pit? We got one for Missy last year, and she just loved it….so did my husband:o)

My daughter is close to your son’s age and also loves pushing around cars and trains. We’ve had the same issues with sneaking items into the cart without her yelling “MINE” and wanting the toys right now.
These are two gift ideas that are reasonably priced and small…

I am a HUGE fan of the Geo Trax… my son, now 4 got them for his second b-day, and LOVES them! They are pretty tough too… we haven’t had one break yet… and he plays with them all the time!! ~ Tip: save the instructions for the layouts ~ although you can come up with your own, I’m sure, it is good to have them for back up.
My daughters got the ball popper for Christmas last year and actually all the kids LOVE it and still do… it is a HUGE favorite around here… although I have to tell you ~ you will be searching for the balls often, they don’t go right back into the funnel, but that is what makes it so fun !! (and it is a little bit nosey)
~ Ideas: A sit n spin??? Fisher Price Musical Animal Train??? Entertainment cube, for lack of better words, like they have in the drs waiting room, but for your home, they have them in Toys R Us and probably Target, my kids LOVE the one we have! Learn Through Music (although a loud toy, but enteraining and teaching!) The Learning Home ~ it has been a favorite toy here for about 2 1/2 years! Plus the accessories to go with it… Learning Phone, Learning Chair, Learning Vacuum, and many more! My kids also love their Step 2 play kitchen ~ play food, grocery cart, Step 2 table & chairs and Step 2 storage bin for toys!
Also Leap Frog ~ Tad and the Leap Frog fridge stuff… like the Fridge Phonics and the DJ thing and the Matching Animals… all by Leap Frog!
I could go on and on, but I think I’ll leave it at that for now… Enjoy shopping and I can’t wait to hear what you come up with for gift for the lil’ man and also what he though of them after Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
Hugs, Jenn
