“Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to become the best of which you are capable.” – John Wooden
My number one New Years resolution this year is going to be to put 100% effort into everything I decide to do. Being so busy with so many things so easily leads you to put in the minimum effort required to get by, but I’m starting to realize that this type of effort is unsatisfying and empty. I need to start putting my best efforts into everything I do, whether it’s as a husband, father, employee, family member, friend, or blogger. I’ve definitely been coasting lately and it’s been bothering me. It’s time to do something about it.

That’s a good resolution. I know I’m definitely guilty of coasting, too.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m guilty of this on a daily basis. It’s tough when you have a million things to juggle to devote 100% of your time and effort into everything. I’m thinking a good first step for me to achieve a goal like this is to learn how to say “No”

DD – How the heck are you? I was away for one week, and I missed hearing about your life and the babito. Your new year’s res is definitely solid. I’m glad you’re not a murderer or anything, though, then it wouldn’t be as great.
Anyhow – glad to be back so I can keep up with the DD dot net.

I am definitely in 100% agreement with you. This is a post I am going to have read over and over to remind myself I need to do better and starting next Monday is not an option! I have been coasting as well and I am ready for a change. Great post!
