If you could choose any three countries (outside the U.S.) to travel to, where would you go? I’ve never been outside of the country, except on our honeymoon, when we went to Cozumel, Mexico, which was beautiful. (And one other time to Tijuana, but I’m not going to count that one, especially since I don’t remember most of it).
My picks would be:
- Ireland – Ever since I saw a Garth Brooks special (don’t ask) where he showed footage of Ireland, I’ve wanted to go. It’s a beautiful country that’s really improved itself in recent years. I’ve also seen aerial footage on Discovery HD. And who wouldn’t want to hit the pubs?
- Australia – Another beautiful country. We’d head over there in the middle of winter, since their seasons are the opposite of ours, not that So Cal really HAS seasons. Plus I’d want to see the water swirl in the toilet in the opposite direction.
- Italy – I’d love to see all of the ancient sites, and who doesn’t love Italian food???
Where would you go? Have you been to any of these countries? I’d love to hear from you in the comments.

I’ve always wanted to go to Portugal and Spain. I’d also throw Ireland in the mix too. Great question.

Back to England and New Zealand, no question there. Also to France, Italy, and Australia — none of which I’ve visited.

Oh good question…I’ll take # 2. But lets just stop by Germany and Austria too, as long as were going!
Great place here…I followed you from Abarclay’s comments.

I’ve been to Italy and absolutely loved it, I’d go back again in a second if we could afford it. As far as three places I haven’t been.
France: I took 2 years of French in college and would love to get some use out of it. Plus, I love food and France if obviously the place to go for foodies.
Ireland: The scenery there is just beautiful and I love the history of the country. Plus, I find Celtic folklore extremely interesting.
Russia: Russia is such a complex country. It seems like it would be a surreal experience to go there.
