Disney has announced some big news related to its California Adventure theme park. They’re going to spend over $1 billion to improve the park, including:
- totally redoing the entrance area, adding a Main Street similar to Disneyland
- A new Little Mermaid ride
- A new land, Cars Land, that will look like Radiator Springs from the movie and have three new rides with Cars themes, including a thrill ride.
- A new Toy Story ride
- A water show in the big lagoon, called Disney’s World of Color
- Pacific Electric Red Cars and antique cars going up and down the new Main Street
- and my personal favorite, a “sprawling beer garden.”

Oh wow! My kids would go crazy with the Cars stuff…looking like radiator springs? That’s awesome! Too bad it’s 5 hours away by plane from us!

Yeah, we’re lucky that we only live about 20 miles away. We’re getting good use out of our annual passes , as we’ve been to Disneyland/California Adventure five times since we got them in August. We’re trying to get our money’s worth!
